The PMI Chapters of Melbourne, Sydney, Queensland, Canberra, Adelaide and Western Australia invite you to share your expertise and experience with the project management community at the annual PMI Australia Conference. This year it will be held from 27-29 May 2019 at RACV Resort, Royal Pines, Gold Coast, Queensland.
The Conference will attract over 300 attendees from a variety of industries, including financial services, automotive, construction, technology, mining, utilities, telecommunications, healthcare and manufacturing.
The theme for this year’s conference is “Change the Game”. This theme will bring reflection on the breakthroughs of the Commonwealth Games 2018, as well as showcasing the latest thinking and trends in Project Management.
We are looking for speakers who have original ideas that will serve, improve, help and inspire delegates. Presentations should value add and draw out what delegates can learn and apply to their professional lives and across their teams and organisations. Presentation topics should be aligned to four streams:
We are also looking for speakers who can change the game when it comes to their presentation format to encourage new ways of engaging, learning, collaborating and networking.
PMIAC reserves the right to change the program and guidelines at any time.
Speakers are invited to submit their abstracts to one of two separate streams – industry stream or academic stream. Each stream has separate submission guidelines, deadlines and marking criteria so ensure you read the correct guidelines for the stream you wish to submit in. The industry stream has three focus areas
The academic stream is for academic and industry researchers who want to showcase their work and contribute to improving project management practices for practicing professionals. It’s focus area innovation & trends has been developed to enable crossover between industry and academia audiences.
Applicants may submit more than one abstract for review however the maximum number of presentations that will be offered to any one presenter will be one presentation slot.
Please note we will not be accepting presentations that are focussed on product or service offerings for the benefit of you or your organisation.
